Thermal Expansion Valves

Thermal Expansion Valves (TXVs) are precision devices designed to regulate the rate of refrigerant liquid flow into the evaporator in the exact proportion to the rate of evaporation of the refrigerant liquid in the evaporator.

Emerson uses stainless steel power elements that are unsusceptible to corrosion. Emerson also manufactures bi-flow designs for use in heat pumps and many of their TXVs have a take-apart design for ease of service. Emerson thermal expansion valves cover a wide range of nominal capacity, from ½ ton to 100 ton.
