A refrigerant gas leak detector is a tool used to track down leaks in general/commercial or automotive air conditioning system systems to make repairs faster and more cost effective.
Refrigerant gas leak detectors usually can be adjusted for sensitivity and have an audio and visual leak detection warning.
It is important to note that a vacuum pump is not a recovery unit. A recovery unit should always be used to make sure the refrigerant is recovered from the system before you begin the vacuum process.
Welding & Brazing
Brazing is the process of joining two metal surfaces by fusing a layer of copper, brass or high melting point solder, between them. Refrigerant tubing is typically brazed using an oxyacetylene torch at a temperature of about 3,000 degrees Centigrade to create a solid, leak free joint.
